Information/Instructional design are used through out different cities and countries, we have a tendency to not notice them as we use them, examples of these can be found anywhere, maps are a great example of information and instructional design. Maps contain information and are a form of instruction on how to get from A to B.
Information/Instructional design is a way to make us understand what things are and how they are done, having this information makes things allot more easier, this type of design is used through many other forms of design for example:
-maps
-instruction manuals
-road signs

Interactive Design
Interactive design explains its self with its name. The way interactive design works is with the user having some form of input in a process. Having a user is essential in interactive design as it depends on a user to successfully complete a task. An example of interactive design can be a CD ROM for instance, the user has to obtain a CD ROM and insert it into the CD drive, once this is done it up to the user what he wants to do with the CD, computer processes everything for the user and displays what the user wants to see.
WEB 2.0
Web 2.0 is a new termenology for an existing and old technology that has been around for many years. Web 2.0 is nothing but a fancy name for the many Internet based applications. It very simply means utilizing existing Internet technologies within a work place.
The following are some examples of web 2.0:
Instant Messaging, Video over IP, Voice over IP, Virtual Office, Email, all these technologies make Web 2.0.
Web 2.0 websites can allow users to do more than just retrieve and display information. They can extend on the interactive facilities of "Web 1.0", allowing users to run software-applications entirely through a browser.
Some more examples of web 2.0 can be:
-facebook
-myspace
-bebo
-hi5
-secondlife
