WEB 2.0

Web 2.0 is a new termenology for an existing and old technology that has been around for many years. Web 2.0 is nothing but a fancy name for the many Internet based applications. It very simply means utilizing existing Internet technologies within a work place.

The following are some examples of web 2.0:
Instant Messaging, Video over IP, Voice over IP, Virtual Office, Email, all these technologies make Web 2.0.

Web 2.0 websites can allow users to do more than just retrieve and display information. They can extend on the interactive facilities of "Web 1.0", allowing users to run software-applications entirely through a browser.
